on this website (in the following “offer”).

The legal basis for this data protection is found in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Broadcast Media Act (TMG).

Access data/server log files

The provider (or its website provider) collects data on every time the offerings are accessed (known as server log files). The access data includes:

Name of the website queried, file, date and time of the query, data quantities transferred, messages on successful call-up, browser type along with version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the page visited previously), IP address, and the inquiring provider.

The provider uses the log data only for statistical evaluation for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the offering. The provider does however reserve the right to check the log data later if there is concrete suspicion that the access is due to plans for an illegal use.

Using personal data

Personal data are information through which a person can be identified; in other words, information that can be traced back to a person. This includes names, e-mail addresses, or telephone numbers. But personal data also includes data about preferences, hobbies, memberships, or which websites have been viewed by someone.

Personal data are only collected, used and transmitted by the provider if this is legally allowed or if the user has agreed to the data collection.

When making contact with the provider (e.g., through the contact form or by e-mail), the user’s information is saved for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for the event that there are follow-up questions.

With the newsletter, we inform you about us and our offerings.

If you would like to receive the newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address and information from you that allow us to check that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided or that the owner is OK with the receipt of the newsletter. We will not collect additional data. These data are used only to send the newsletter and are not transmitted to third parties.

When you sign up for the newsletter, we will store your IP address and the date of sign-up. This storage serves only as verification in the event that a third party misuses an e-mail address and has given authorization for newsletter receipt without your knowledge and authorization.

Your permission to save the data, the e-mail address and its use to send the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal can be made through a link in the newsletter itself, in your profile area or by message to the contact options above.

Connection of services and the content of third parties

It can be the case that the content of third parties, for example, videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds, or graphics from other websites, may be embedded within this online offering. This always requires that the provider of this content (referred to as “third-party providers” in the following) collect the user’s IP address. This is because without the IP address, the content could not be sent to the browser of the respective user. Therefore, the IP address is required for the representation of this content. We take care to only use such content for which respective provider only uses the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence over whether the third party provider saves the IP addresses for statistical purposes, for example. To the extent that we are aware of this, we will inform the user of it.

Cookies are small files that allow specific, device-related information to be saved on the user’s access device (PC, smartphone, etc.). They provide user friendliness for websites and, through it, for the users (e.g., saving login data). They also serve to measure statistical data of website usage and to be able to analyze this to improve the offerings. The users can decide whether to use cookies or not. Most browsers have an option which limits the saving of cookies or completely prevents it. However, you are advised that the use and, particularly, the user-friendliness, is limited without cookies.

You can manage many online display cookies from companies using the US-based website or the EU website .

Google Analytics

This offering uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses what are known as “cookies”, which are text files that are saved on the user’s computer and allow the analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by the cookie on the use of this website by the users is usually transferred to a Google server in the United States and saved there.

If anonymization for the IP happens to be activated on this website, however, then the IP address of the user is kept within the member states of the European Union or in other contractual states of the agreement on the European Economic Community and is shortened beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. IP anonymization is active on this website. If the operator of this website requests it, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website by the users, to create reports on the website activities, and to provide connected services with regard to the website operator further through website use and internet use.

The IP addresses communicated from your browser as part of Google Analytics are not collected with other data by Google. The users can prevent saving of cookies through corresponding settings on their browser software; this offering will, however, indicate to the users that in this case they may not be able to use the full range of functions of this website. Moreover, the users can prevent the collection of the data related to the use of the website generated by the cookie (including their IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:

For an alternative to a browser add on or within browsers on mobile devices, please click this link to prevent the collection by google analytics within this website in the future. This stores an opt-out cookie on your device. To delete your cookies, you must click this link again.

Disclaimer, changes, authorization, and updates

The user has the right to obtain information upon request free of charge on the personal data that has been saved about him or her. In addition, the user has the right to correct incorrect data or block and delete his or her personal data, as long as there is no contrary legal duty to store it.
